Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy
Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy combines the teachings of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Hypnotherapy & NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) into a single model that uses the clients own mind to solve their problems. It is a safe and effective way to achieve change.
Hypnosis is a common state of mind that we all experience throughout the day. For example, when you are engrossed in a novel, you are in a light hypnotic state. We enter deep hypnosis daily as we enter sleep and awaken. Next time you are deeply engrossed in work or a movie or hobby notice how you are aware of nothing else. We enter this light hypnotic state often throughout the day.
Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy is an interactive therapy in which the therapist acts as a guide. The tenet is that clients can find their own solutions with skilled assistance. Unlike hypnotherapy in which the same script is used for everybody in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, the therapy is based on the individual's unique model of the world - how you see and experience things. For example, your anxiety and what triggers it, is different from someone else's.
What is Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy used for?
